 Greetings, to you all. To all of you travelers, wanderers... pilgrims. For truly, what are we all, but pilgrims in this world. Yet for you, it seems that your life's journey has brought you asunder from the pathway you trod. And brought you to this lowly place. No doubt you are floundering. Frightened, confused. Adrift in this sea of insecurity and doubt. But fear not, my children. Fear not. For I am the messenger, sent by the graces of God to your lost wanderings.
It was long ago that I myself came to this place, a refugee as all of you are, unsure of where to turn. Alone; friendless and afraid. I wandered this place, learned of it's temptations and the dark honey with which it lures you, pulling you into it's clutches until you can no longer see the sky ahead. But then, when I was beyond all hope, lost and floundering helplessly, there came an epiphany, and I saw the truth for what it is. For there is a sky, my children. And truly together... we can find it. And that is why I come to you now, with arms wide in welcome.
For here, amidst such confusion and disorder, I offer a refuge. A caring word, a gentle touch. Come, wanderers, to the Church, and partake of our hospitality and our care. Surcease from darkness, harbor from winds, shelter from storms. Though I am certain there are those among you who doubt, who have difficulty placing their trust within our care, I pray in earnest that my words you will heed, if only to keep yourselves from harm. For this place can be a treacherous place, one whose dark and sinful depths will seek to prey upon your weaknesses. Please, come with us. Protect yourselves and allow us to aid you in this time of turmoil. Those who have come before you already know of the bounty that we provide, and there is only more to come. So I stand here, opening not only my arms, but those of the Church itself, and bid you simply...
